Susanna Capelouto

Susanna Capelouto oversees the news operation for the 17 station GPB radio network both on-air and on line. In her position she coordinates with GPB reporters throughout the state of Georgia. Susanna has won numerous Broadcast awards over the years from the Associated Press, the Society of Professional Journalists, the Georgia Broadcasters Association and Public Radio News Directors Incorporated. She has served as president of the Georgia AP Broadcasters board in 2006-2007 and won the Radio Journalist of the year award from the Atlanta Press Club in 2004. Susanna Is a member of the Society of Professional Journalists, Public Radio News Directors Inc., The Atlanta Press Club and Air Media (Association of Independents in Radio). Susanna also serves as managing editor of Georgia Gazette, the longest running , and now daily, radio features program with a Georgia focus. Her strength in reporting include Georgia politics, education, The South and all things Southern.
