Mike Klein

Mike Klein is serving his third term on the Atlanta Press Club Board of Directors. His 25-year career in Atlanta has been divided largely between two organizations, 14 years at CNN's network headquarters where he held several positions including Vice President of News Productions, and later nine years at Georgia Public Broadcasting. Mike was director of GPB television productions for five years. He also created and managed GPB client productions. That unit specialized in creating video products to assist Georgia state government agencies with workforce development, education, staff training and economic development. Mr. Klein was a guest instructor at the University of Georgia Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communications during the year between his CNN and GPB assignments. His honors include two national broadcast Emmy Awards, a Houston International Film Festival Gold Medal, a Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Awards citation and two Chicago Emmy Awards.
