Lauri Strauss

As executive director of the Atlanta Press Club, Lauri Strauss is responsible for finance and fundraising, board/committee development, membership, working with program committees, office operations, and writing and editing Club communications.

Lauri was most recently an area manager with the American Cancer Society where she oversaw all fundraising efforts and mission delivery for the organization in six metro area counties. Previous to that, Lauri was the director of membership for The Commerce Club. Lauri grew up in Arizona, where she started her career as an associate producer at the local NBC-TV affiliate until moving to Atlanta in the ‘90s to work in the CNN newsroom. Lauri also worked for The Coca-Cola Company for several years in their public and media relations department. Throughout her career, Lauri has spent much of her free time volunteering with several non-profit organizations, including the American Cancer Society, Starlight Foundation and Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
