Atlanta Press Club to Move its Offices

I am pleased to announce The Atlanta Press Club will be moving its offices to a new, state-of-the-art facility. We have been honored to host most of our events at The Commerce Club for the past several years. As you may be aware, The Commerce Club and 191 Club recently announced they are merging their organizations to build a stronger business club that will still be called The Commerce Club. The Atlanta Press Club will move with them to their brand new facility that will be on the 49th floor of the 191 Peachtree Building in downtown Atlanta. The move is expected to take place at the end of 2010.

We look forward to continuing the same great programs and networking opportunities in our new home. We will also have some additional benefits we?ll be able to offer to our members. We will keep you posted on our move, but please feel free to contact executive director Lauri Strauss with any questions at lstrauss@atlpressclub.org or 404.523.1318.

I look forward to working with all of you, and the board of directors, as we move forward this year. We have a variety of great events planned, including our Newsmaker Luncheons and evening programs. We will also host a full slate of political debates this year. Invite your co-workers and friends to join us. It will be a great year for the Press Club!

John Boswell
Atlanta Press Club president
